According to the U.S. Census, "education attainment" refers to the highest degree or level of school completed among individuals over 25 years old. Woodhaven residents compare closely with Tarrant County as a whole in many education levels. However, compared to Tarrant County residents, a greater proportion of Woodhaven residents completed schooling through high school and some college, while fewer earned a bachelor's degree or higher.
Income data from the 2000 U.S. Census also shows a diversity of incomes in Woodhaven. Although a far greater percentage of Woodhaven households reported earning less than $30,000 in 1999 than in Tarrant County, a similar proportion of households earned between $30,000 and $45,000. A smaller proportion of Woodhaven households earned over $45,000 than in Tarrant County, but this proportion represents approximately 17.5% of all Woodhaven households.
The high proportion of low income households correlates with poverty level information, which shows that the percentage of Woodhaven households who live below the poverty level is twice as high as the percentage Tarrant County as a whole.
